Patrons of the congress are the President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, Dr. Dieter Graumann, the Ambassador of the State of Israel in Germany, H.E. Yoram Ben-Zeev, and Mrs. Regine Sixt, from Sixt Rent-a-Car.

The inviting organisations are unanimous in that Germany should make a contribution towards supporting the Jewish State in its ongoing pursuit of peace and security. In view of the approaching challenges, including the potential of a unilateral proclamation of a Palestinian State, we want stand side-by-side with the Jewish State with all means available to us and on all levels.

Popular speakers and officials from Germany, the EU, the US and Israel will talk about current political events focusing on Israel, Hamas, Hisbollah and Iran as well as on German solidarity with Israel, on the image of Israel in the media, the Christian-Jewish dialogue, anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism; among them Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister, Danny Ayalon, the President of the American Jewish Committe, David Harris, the Mayor of Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai, and the "Son of the Hamas", Mosab Hassan Yousef, to name just four. (Simultaneous translations from English to German and vice versa will be available for all of the main sessions. Some of the workshops will be in English).

Apart from political subjects, one main area will concentrate on culture, music and art as well as economics, trade, science and technology. In all these areas, it is hard to imagine the global playground without tiny Israel. A lot of topical information and insight are waiting for you...

After a long day of hard political talk, artists from Israel and Germany will be on hand to entertain congress attendees with their music, including a concert from the world renowned gueststar Dudu Disher. You can also look forward to typical Israeli food and drink all throughout the day - naturally all kosher!
